We are a married couple who, separately and together have been taking
photos most of our lives. Remember the old Brownie box cameras? We transitioned to digital about four years ago with an Olympus
C765 p/s camera. It did very well on lots of things but was slow. So we upgraded to a Sony A100 w/ two lenses last year. This
year we added a Canon XTi also with two lenses. Our main interests are scenic and wildlife photography. Lee is better at the
action shots and Carol does most of the still and macro work. Carol is a native Californian and Lee is a native Georgian.
We moved from Georgia to Florida just after the first storm of 2004, not knowing if we had a house to come to or not. Since
moving here, we have been thrilled by the variety of wildlife and flowers. We use every opportunity to get the cameras and
go shoot something. Until we joined SEVCC in June of 2007, we had had no formal training in photography, or any photo club
affiliation. All of our work has been for our own enjoyment. Since joining the Club, we have taken the beginning class taught
by Rafael Torres. We really enjoy the club and meeting fellow photographers and feel that we have learned a great deal from
them and the judges critiques of our work.
